Gel Bean
A mobile-first AI health coach — personal plans for meals, movement, and habits, with calm coaching that adapts when life gets in the way.

The challenge
Most digital health products either broadcast generic advice or bury people in dashboards. Neither feels like a coach. People need something that listens, remembers context, and guides the next small step — on a phone, in the middle of a busy day — without feeling clinical, cold, or judgmental.
Wellness only sticks when the product respects real life: late nights, dinner out, skipped workouts, and the need for encouragement rather than another red metric.
The fit
Gel Bean is a mobile-first AI health coach web application. It turns goals into simple visual plans — meals, workouts, habits — and pairs them with a calm conversational coach that supports and adapts. The product voice is warm and practical: one plan, one day, one step at a time.
What it does
- Personalised plans — goals, preferences, schedule, and constraints folded into a week you can actually follow
- Visual daily guidance — meals, water, movement, and focus at a glance, not buried in nested menus
- Habit tracking that celebrates progress — momentum over perfection; small wins stay visible
- AI coaching chat — supportive conversation when life happens (“working late”, “don’t fancy salmon”) so the plan flexes instead of failing
- Responsible framing — coaching and habit support, not medical advice or clinical theatre
Craft notes
Built as a companion, not a clinic UI: soft palette, large tap targets, short copy, and bottom navigation tuned for one-handed daily use. Onboarding is a guided “let’s get to know you” journey — saved as you go — that produces profile insights before the first personalised week. The coach surface uses prompt chips for common real-life moments so support is one tap away, not a blank text box and a blank mind.
